She studied medicine in Basel. From 1985 to 1995 she completed her residency as a specialist in internal medicine in regional hospitals and at the University Hospital Basel and subsequently placed her professional focus on the ambulatory care of patients. As head physician, she was responsible for the development of ambulatory aftercare at the Center for Spinal Cord Injury and Brain Injury at REHAB Basel. In addition, she expanded the range of special consultations including neuro-orthopedics, complementary medicine and pain consultation. In addition, she completed further additional specialisation, most recently from 2012 in Psychosomatic Medicine with MAS degree in 2014. She is a member of the Swiss Academy for Psychosomatic and Psychosocial Medicine SAPPM. Since 2015 she has been working in her own practice with a focus on psychosomatics. She is specialized in treating patients who need neurofeedback in addition to psychiatric trauma therapy and medication due to complex post-traumatic stress disorder.
